In co-operation with BASF AG, DEKRA and the automotive assembly firm Kothschenreuther, and after a one-year development period, we put our new CARGO-SAFETY-SYSTEM into operation on January 1, 2006. Through the use of special lashing covers, the innovative system ensures the ideal loading of octatainer palettes by safeguarding against slipping and tipping over. In addition, this vehicle concept offers an optimised payload of 26.2 tonnes, i.e. a 10 % increase in vehicle load efficiency. Equipped with comprehensive safety features (proximity warning, lane departure warning, etc.), the vehicles were put into use on January 1, 2006, after a successful three-month test phase.
